Welcome to Poze (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Poze is an iOS application developed by Humpty Dumpty Studio that uses artificial intelligence to edit and optimize your reference photographs specifically to make them suitable and polished for dating profile uploads. This Privacy Policy explains, in clear and complete detail, what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.

Because Poze works with a photograph that may contain your face, we want to be exceptionally transparent about exactly what happens to that image from the moment you select it to the moment your generated dating-ready result appears on screen. Your trust matters to us, and protecting your face image is the single most important commitment we make in this Policy.

By downloading, installing, or using Poze, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please do not use Poze.

1. Summary (TL;DR)

  • No Server Storage: We do not store your reference photo or any generated image on any server we operate. Poze has no backend database of user photos.
  • Ephemeral Processing: The reference photo lives only on your device and is sent to our AI provider only at the moment of generation, encrypted in transit, for a single inference call, and is discarded immediately afterward.
  • No Biometrics: We do not extract, generate, or store biometric identifiers (no faceprints, no face embeddings, no vector representations).
  • No AI Training: We do not use your photo to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model — ours or anyone else’s. Our integration uses an inference-only endpoint.
  • No Data Selling: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with data brokers, advertisers, or any third party for marketing purposes.
  • No Cross-App Tracking: We do not track you across other apps or websites. Poze uses no advertising SDKs, no social pixels, and no behavioral analytics frameworks.
  • Global Compliance: Poze is fully aligned with Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines, Apple’s App Privacy framework, GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and KVKK.
  • Easy Deletion: You can delete every piece of information related to you at any time. To request deletion of any support correspondence, write to smartify04@gmail.com.

We aim to respond to all privacy-related communications within seven (7) business days, and to fulfill formal deletion or access requests within thirty (30) days.

3. Face Data Handling — Detailed Disclosure

Because face data is the most sensitive category of information Poze processes, we devote this entire section to explaining — step by step — exactly what happens to a photograph containing your face. Nothing in this section is hidden in fine print elsewhere.

3.1. What We Mean by “Face Data”

In this Policy, “face data” means a digital photograph you voluntarily select from your iOS photo library that contains your face. Face data does not include:

  • Biometric Templates: Poze never computes, derives, requests, or stores any mathematical representation of your facial features. The AI provider receives only the raw pixel data of the photo you selected; it does not return, expose, or persist any biometric vector to us.
  • Identity Attributes: Real names, government IDs, or any link between the photo and your real-world identity are never requested.
  • Face Recognition/Verification: Poze performs no identification, verification, matching, clustering, or recognition of any kind. The AI model is a generative image optimization model, not a surveillance or recognition model.

3.2. End-to-End Lifecycle of Your Reference Photo

  1. Selection on Device: You tap to choose a single photograph from your iOS photo library. iOS prompts you for permission to access Photos; you can grant Full Access, Limited Access (only the photos you pick), or None. We strongly recommend Limited Access. If you deny access entirely, Poze cannot optimize an image.
  2. Local Storage on Device: The selected image is copied into Poze’s sandboxed application storage on your device. iOS Data Protection (file-level AES encryption tied to your device passcode) protects this file at rest. This file never leaves your device except at the moment described in Step 4.
  3. Optional Local Preprocessing: Lightweight, on-device operations may occur (e.g., cropping, resizing, or format normalization) entirely within the app to optimize it for the AI processor. No external network call is made during preprocessing.
  4. Encrypted Transmission for a Single Inference Call: When you tap to generate your dating profile photo, the reference photo and selection styles are transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher) to our AI processing provider, fal.ai, via an inference-only API endpoint. The connection is authenticated and the payload is encrypted in transit.
  5. Inference at fal.ai: fal.ai runs a generative face/image enhancement model on the provided inputs and returns a stylized, dating-page ready image. Per our integration, we use the inference-only endpoint, which means the request is not added to any training corpus, not used to fine-tune any model, and not retained for product improvement by fal.ai.
  6. Return and Local Display: The URL of the generated image is returned to your device and stored locally in your “Recents” / “My Images” history. The original reference photo on your device remains exactly where it was.
  7. Discard: The input photo and the output image are discarded by the AI provider at the end of the inference call, per the provider’s data retention policy for inference-only endpoints.

3.3. What We Promise Never to Do With Face Data

For complete clarity, Poze will never:

  • Store your face photo on a server operated by us.
  • Build a database, index, or directory of user faces.
  • Compute, extract, or retain biometric identifiers.
  • Use your face photo, or any output derived from it, to train, fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark, distill, or improve any AI model.
  • Share your face photo with advertisers, data brokers, dating apps, or social media platforms.
  • Sell, license, or rent your face photo under any circumstance.
  • Retain your face photo if you delete the app — uninstalling Poze removes all locally stored data immediately.

3.4. Your Direct Controls Over Face Data

  • Replace or remove the reference photo from within “My Images.”
  • Revoke iOS Photos permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Poze.
  • Uninstall the app to remove every byte of locally stored data, immediately and irreversibly.
  • Email us at smartify04@gmail.com to confirm in writing the absence of any server-side record.

4. Other Information We Collect

Beyond face data, Poze collects only the minimum additional information needed to operate.

4.1. Information You Provide Directly

  • Persona Information (Optional): During onboarding you may optionally provide non-sensitive descriptive attributes (such as gender, age range, style preferences) to tailor your dating profile target aesthetics. These attributes are used only on your device to personalize style recommendations and are not transmitted to our servers.
  • Support Messages: If you contact us via the in-app support forms or by emailing smartify04@gmail.com, we receive the content of your message and your email address. We use this solely to respond to you.

4.2. Information Collected Automatically

  • Generated Image URLs: URLs of generated images are stored locally on your device under “Recents” and “My Images.” These URLs are not transmitted to us.
  • Device & Subscription Diagnostics: We may receive limited diagnostic information through Apple’s standard frameworks and through our subscription analytics providers (Device type, OS version, anonymous installation identifier, and subscription status/events). This data is aggregated, anonymous, and used strictly to maintain app reliability.

4.3. Information We Do Not Collect

Poze does not collect: real names, mailing addresses, phone numbers, contact lists, location data, microphone audio, behavioral tracking across third-party apps, or Advertising Identifiers (IDFA).

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information described above only to:

  • Provide the AI generation and photo optimization service you request.
  • Maintain your account state (tracking credits, subscription status, and your locally stored generation history).
  • Respond to support emails and fulfill deletion requests.
  • Process payments securely through Apple’s StoreKit. We never see or store your credit card number or payment credentials.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on a small number of carefully selected providers. Each is bound by their own privacy commitments:

  • AI Image Generation (fal.ai): Runs the generative face/image optimization models via an inference-only endpoint. Inputs and outputs are discarded at the end of the inference call. (fal.ai Privacy Policy)
  • Subscriptions & Purchases (Apple StoreKit, RevenueCat, Adapty): Processes and tracks in-app purchases and subscription statuses using anonymous user identifiers. All credit card processing is handled by Apple.
  • Hosting & Delivery: Generated image URLs are hosted by our AI provider on their secure delivery network. The links are accessible only by you while the asset remains available.

7. Data Retention

  • On Your Device: Reference photos, persona attributes, and generation histories are stored locally until you delete them inside the app or uninstall the app completely.
  • On Our AI Provider: Reference photos sent for generation are processed and discarded immediately in accordance with fal.ai’s inference-only retention policy.
  • Support Correspondence: Emails sent to smartify04@gmail.com are retained for up to 24 months for quality purposes, then deleted unless you request earlier deletion.

8. How We Protect Your Information

  • In Transit: All data exchanged between the app and external endpoints is encrypted using HTTPS / TLS 1.2 or higher.
  • At Rest: Locally stored information is protected within Poze’s iOS sandbox by file-level AES encryption keyed to your device passcode.
  • No Central Database: Because Humpty Dumpty Studio does not operate a backend database that stores your photos, there is no central honey-pot of face images that could be compromised.
  • Permission-Gated Access: Poze requests explicit iOS permission before reading from or writing to your Photos album, which you can revoke at any time.

9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Regardless of where you live, you may manage your privacy by adjusting permissions in your iOS Settings, managing subscriptions via your Apple ID, or uninstalling the app to wipe local data.

9.1. GDPR / UK GDPR (EEA & UK Users)

Our legal bases for processing are: (a) your consent (for processing your reference photo), (b) performance of a contract (delivering the AI generation service), and (c) our legitimate interests (maintaining service quality). You have the right to access, erasure (“right to be forgotten”), portability, and rectification. To exercise these rights, email smartify04@gmail.com.

9.2. CCPA / CPRA (California Users) & Other Jurisdictions

We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We honor analogous rights granted by other global privacy laws (including KVKK in Türkiye, LGPD in Brazil, and PIPEDA in Canada).

10. Children’s Privacy

Poze is intended strictly for users who are at least 13 years of age (or the higher legal minimum age in your jurisdiction) and who are legally permitted to use online dating platforms. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has uploaded photos to Poze, please contact smartify04@gmail.com for immediate deletion.

11. International Data Transfers

Because our AI generation provider and subscription providers operate globally, your encrypted reference photo and metadata may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. Where required by law (e.g., the GDPR), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. App Store and Device-Level Disclosures

In accordance with Apple’s App Privacy framework, our App Store nutrition label reflects exactly what is described in this Policy:

  • Data Used to Track You: None.
  • Data Linked to You: None.
  • Data Not Linked to You: Anonymous diagnostics and anonymous purchase identifiers.

Poze strictly complies with App Store Review Guidelines 5.1.1, 5.1.2, and 5.1.3.

13. AI Content Disclosure and Acceptable Use

Images generated by Poze are synthetic outputs produced by an artificial intelligence model designed to enhance appearance for profile optimization. They are not historical photographs. You agree not to use generated content to impersonate, defame, harass, or deceive any person on dating applications or elsewhere, or to depict any minor in an inappropriate context. You are solely responsible for how you use, share, or publish images you generate with Poze.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and provide an in-app notification on the next launch. Continued use of Poze after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
